LISTEN TO TAU DOSITHEOS ON CONGREGATIONAL ILLUMINISM!

Mt. Arabia Gathering –

1 November 2010

An account from Tau Dositheos, with illustrations by Tau Tula

On 1 November 2010 Ormus Lodge

had the great honor of hosting a gathering at Mount Arabia in Lithonia, Georgia USA. This gathering was part of a series of combined events

that were hosted by various Congregational Illuminist nodes in free communion.

Mt. Arabia

This post is limited to just one of these events, yet I want to send out a very special thanks to the entire crew of Templi de Niger Sol for initiating the idea of this shared week-long esoteric experience and for all your hard work seeing it through to completion, Bishop +Thomas Langley for his  help with and participation in the Litany of Saints, Ezili Roots

for hosting Fet Gede which is so dear to my heart, Lama Michael Crowley for his thoughtful participation at Fet Gede on the 30th, for leading us through a Chenrezig Sadhana at Kwan Yin House on the 31st, and for blessing us with a Mountain Incense Offering at the sacred power-spot (Mt. Arabia) on the 1st. I also want to thank Tau Aron for all his efforts in bringing Lama to our city, Tau Ishaviva for providing the means to record the audio, Tau Tula for the wonderful photos and to the facilitator of the Assembly of the Knowledge & Wisdom of SolomonT Allen Greenfield – for your tireless Work in support of Congregational Illuminism.

TAU DOSITHEOS’ TALK ON CONGREGATIONAL ILLUMINISM

There are two audio tracks below.

The first audio track is an informal talk I gave about scrying the Rite of Memphis Degrees on November 1st at Mt. Arabia. You can also read the related outline and compare it to this reference document.  For supplemental reading in regards to scrying, see Benjamin Rowe’s document.

[It is unfortunate, but this recording had to be edited to remove valuable feedback from T Allen Greenfield, Tau Tula and Tau Ishaviva because the recording device was not able to pick up their dialog good enough to hear it on the playback. I had to cut out the inaudible bits.  Next time we will remember to pass the recorder around when others are speaking].

The second audio track is actually two separate recordings of Lama Michael Crowley edited into one track. The track opens with Lama Crowley chanting two forms of mantra for Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) followed by a mantra for Padmasambhava. The next segment is a recording of Lama Crowley performing the Mountain Incense Offering on November 1st at Mt. Arabia. The practice for the Mountain Incense Offering is said to originate with Padmasambhava, affectionately known as Guru Rinpoche.

[We are experimenting, so the audio is admittedly very raw. We intend to improve upon this for future events.]

STIMULATING SHARING OF OPINIONS FROM DIVERSE ILLUMINISTS

Positions 1. Spiritual growth is incompatible with authoritarian structure. 2. Scientific Illuminism requires a non-dogmatic, experimental approach. 3. A free society linked in free communion should be actualized. 4. We facilitate, we do not lead. We do the Work, we do not extract oaths or dues, or require dogmatic beliefs.
